Based in Amsterdam, London and New York, our tax team provides clients with specialist advice on a wide range of Dutch tax issues, including the application of EU law and tax treaties. Our group was established in 1986 as the first tax group within a major Dutch firm. The current partners all joined the group early on. Our tax lawyers have all acquired foreign tax qualifications or practical work experience abroad including the US, the UK and France.

Our tax practice has a strong focus on transactions. We have received widespread recognition for our capabilities in capital markets, acquisition structuring, structured finance and securitisation. We also bring invaluable experience in dealing with tax authorities, in obtaining advance clearance, in mutual agreement procedures and in controversy work. Our litigation capabilities are strong. Our tax lawyers are all admitted to the Bar.

We regularly provide advice on corporate tax and international tax matters, including cross-border reorganisations, and are frequently asked by other firms to provide second opinions. Our services include:
